Our Story

Located in downtown Winter Haven, FL. Everett Whitehead originally established his business in residential construction in 1954. Working alongside his father, Everett ‘Reggie” Whitehead took the reins and the company evolved into the large-scale commercial and industrial company it is today. After Reggie’s retirement in 2019, son E. Ryan Whitehead took the helm and is looking forward to continuing to expand the successful company built by his grandfather and father.

In 1980, the company decided to incorporate a concrete division, rounding it out as a single source project development enterprise. Today, the business boasts over 65+ years of experience in construction in Florida and other southern states.​

With deep rooted ties to Polk County, Whitehead Construction has left an indelible footprint on the Winter Haven community, becoming a key player in the city's industrial and economic regeneration. And it's not just in their home-town. Whitehead Construction's expertise can be seen etched into numerous communities throughout Florida and other southern states.

As President and 3rd generation owner of Whitehead Construction, Ryan has taken a hands-on approach, providing exceptional construction guidance for his clients. This approach has allowed Whitehead Construction to maintain a solid reputation as a quality design-build construction company and key player in the industry. Ryan currently serves on the Greater Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce Board, the Bartow Hospital Advisory Board, and  the Winter Haven Economic Development Council.
